Chapter 6

The guards continued their way through the forest until the came across a large lake. The captain walked towards the group and surveyed the area. His gaze landed on a small cabin on the other side. 

" Hand me the binoculars, now. " he ordered to one of his men. No less then two seconds, he was handed the binoculars. He started to look into the cabin to find two figures asleep in bed together. Freyon zoomed in and his jaw was now hanging. Inside was Alythia, curled up to the white dragon he despised. He started to growl deeply; this sight truly disgusted him. He wanted nothing more but to have the dragon's heart in his hands and have Alythia in his bed. He started to crush his binoculars from his anger then turned to his men, eyes glowing blood red in anger and rage. " We are going to attack at the crack of dawn. So we will make camp here. Understood? " he said. All the guards nodded quickly and started to set up camp. Freyon turned back towards the cabin, glaring towards the sleeping couple. " She will be mine. Count on it. " 

Morning soon came over the horizon. The morning light slowly made its way to the cabin and towards the sleeping couple. The light reached Lunaris first and started to beam to his eyes. He grunted then woke up, grumbling. His gaze turned to Alythia then smiled. The way she is sleeping is so beautiful. Heck, everything about her is beautiful. Lunaris wipes some hair from her face and kisses her cheek. Her eyes fluttered open from the kiss and she looked up to her handsome white dragon. She sat up and returned the kiss. " Morning, love. " she said in a sweet, yet still drowsy tone. 

" Morning, my love. " he answered back to her. She smiled and gives him another kiss but this time, it was on the lips. He murrs and holds the kiss for a bit before breaking it. She giggled, laying back in the bed. " If that's how i'm going to wake up from now on, then I will never complain. " She smiled to him. He couldn't help but chuckle at her words, yet he wishes the same thing. Lunaris soon gets out of bed and heads outside to the lake to wash and wakes himself up. He kneeled down to wash up, noticing there was something amiss in the forest. From that moment, he ignored the feeling and continues to wash up. He then heard something and looked up. It was a small orange object getting bigger and bigger until...BOOM!! 

The sound of it alerted Drago, Valkyrie, and Alythia. They all ran to the source of the sound to find a large fireball where Lunaris was. They looked around for the white dragon, but found not a trace of him. This started to worry Alythia until she noticed something hovering in the air. " Lunaris!" she shouted up to him. A wave of relief washed over her to see that her love isn't dead. Lunaris looked over to see where that attack came from. He saw small canoes coming towards them. Then noticed that they are more guards from Lord Gage. Lunaris landed and looked towards the three. 

" All of you. Get in the cabin, now!" He commanded. Without a moment more, they all went inside. Lunaris went to get his sword and waited on the shore for the oncoming intruders. The three watched the scene from the window, scared and concerned for his well being. The intruders arrived and glared down at Lunaris, who returned the glare. One guard soon came towards him with an ominous blade in his possession. He studied the blade before looking back to the owner. The owner carried a sneer across his face when he came before him.

" We meet again, dragon. " He stated in a dark tone. Lunaris quickly remembered the sound of that voice. " Are you that captain that fled? " He asked. Freyon only growled and nodded. " Yes, and now I will be the one to end you once and for all!" He lunged at him, swinging his blade down on him. Lunaris quickly blocked his blade with his own, then countered with a kick to the stomach. Making the captain stumble back a bit. Freyon gripped the blade tighter and lunged at him again, this time with more force. Lunaris soon blocks it again but he feels something...evil. He brushes off Freyon again and looks at Freyon's blade, which is glowing black. The captain's eyes glow brighter red, letting out a loud roar towards Lunaris. Lunaris senses the energy emitting from the roar and feels that he is in for a hell of a fight. Freyon looked at him and grinned before disappearing. Lunaris looked around to see where he will appear next. 

" Looking for me? " He grinned. Lunaris quickly turned around only to come in contact with the hilt of his blade to his face. He skidded a few feet, stopping a second later. He looks at him in wonder. " How did he do that? " He thought as he slowly stood up, rubbing his jaw. Freyon looked at him and smirked. He is loving the fact that he gets to kill the one who killed his men. Lunaris stood with his sword ready and charged at him. The captain stood his ground and waited for his opponent to strike. Lunaris started to strike very rapidly, leaving the captain in amazement. Freyon was able to block all of his strikes except one, which left him with a cut across his chest. He growled to him in anger then charged at him, slashing at him non stop. Lunaris stood his ground and blocked and dodged as many he could. The group stood from the window as the other guards stood from the sidelines, watching the battle take place. Valkyrie looked to Drago, who had a worried face. " What's wrong? Lunaris is doing great out there. " She said. Drago's face didn't move. He saw something more than meets the eye. " No... " He said. " Lunaris is weakening. " Ne stated. Alythia and Valkyrie's eyes widened at that resolution. They looked to see that Drago is right, Lunaris was weakening over time. His moves are slacking and this didn't go unnoticed by the captain. Freyon took this opportunity and kneed him in the gut. Then threw him to a tree, knocking him into unconsciousness. " Now to finish the job. " The captain said as he held his sword over Lunaris, preparing to end him until he heard a voice from his sword. 

" Don't kill him. Bring him and Alythia to me. " said Gage. The captain shook his head and brought his sword down on Lunaris until it stopped on its own. " You dare defy me!?! You wretch!! " The sword soon sends dark pulses towards the captain, making him scream in agony. " ARRGH!!! ALRIGHT!!! " He screamed out as the pain subsided. He pants heavily then looks to the unconscious Lunaris. " You live for another day, dragon. " He said then looks to his guards. " Get Alythia and take the dragon too. " He commanded. They all nodded then stormed the place. Valkyrie and Drago were able to make out a small hole in the floor. The guards caught Alythia. They bounded her and Lunaris up in ropes and put them in separate cages. Freyon soon took hold of Lunaris' sword and studied it. " Nice sword. " He commented. " It will be a great trophy for Gage. " he grinned. They started to head back to the town with their two prisoners. Drago and Valkyrie watched as they took them back to the kingdom.

" What are we going to do, Drago?" She asked. He looked to her with determination. " We are going get them out. " He stated. She looked at him, then nodded. They soon started after the guards towards the kingdom. 

After some time and distance, they were close to the kingdom. The captain looks over to Alythia and grins. She saw this and glared back at him with a low growl. He smirked at her then turned his attention towards Lunaris. His smirk soon turned to a glare, then returned his gaze back to the path. Alythia looks to Lunaris, afraid of what Gage may do to him. 

" Psst. Lunaris... " She whispered. She could hear a low grunt from his cage and sees that he is waking up. Lunaris soon noticed that he was tied up, then felt a sharp pain on his head. He looked to see that Alythia was in the same situation as him. It suddenly hit him. He was knocked out by the captain, so they have been captured and taken back to this ' Lord Gage '. They reached the kingdom and were met with people staring at the white male dragon sitting in the cage. The dragonesses were whispering about how cute he was as the dragons were talking about how fine the female in the cage was. They headed towards the main castle at the back of the kingdom. They soon arrived and were met with some of Gage's head guards. They were told of their arrival and unloaded Lunaris and Alythia. The captain slowly walked up to the head guards and handed him Lunaris' blade. One nodded and took it to bring it to Lord Gage, leaving the others to handle the prisoners. They gave Alythia a drug which knocked her out. Lunaris tried to get to her but failed as he was held back by guards. He struggled and roars out.

" Let her go!! " They were both carried to different places within the castle. 

A few hours later, Alythia woke up to find herself back in her room, in her bed. She looked around for any sight of her lover, but to no avail. Soon a guard came in. " My lady, Lord Gage wishes to see you. " She wanted nothing more but to tear his head off and burn it in the deepest, darkest pits of hell, along with the captain. She stormed off to the main room to find Gage sitting there, sipping on some wine and obvserving Lunaris' blade. He looked up for a second to greet her. 

" Welcome back Alythia. " He said as he took another sip,setting down the blade. She growled very deeply at him but soon calmed down a bit. " What do you want? " She said with venom in her voice. He looks at her, putting his cup down. " The wedding is in three days and I want to take you as my queen....either you want to or not." He stated. Alythia just looked at him. " And how you do think I'm just going go with that? " She questioned him; anger rising at every second. He smirked at her, knowing that she was going ask that. " If you don't go with it... " He snaps his fingers as two guards carry in a battered Lunaris. Gage walks over to him, holding a dagger to his neck. " I end his life, here and now. " He threatened. Alythia's eyes widened at this. She held the life of her lover in her hands. The only way she could save him is by marrying the one she truly hated. She clenched her fists together and closing her eyes, trying to weigh out the possible options, even though they were very limited.

" Alythia! Don't do it! Don't worry about me! " He shouted to her. She loved him more then anything she ever had. She dropped her hands and let out a deep sigh. 

" You win....I-I...will marry you. " She said in a very low and depressing tone. Gage let out a smile of victory while Lunaris felt his heart sink to the lowest abyss. Gage walked to her and pulls her in a forceful kiss while Lunaris watched. She wanted to move away from his lips but his strength was greater than hers. Lunaris growled very deeply and wanted nothing more then to just erase him from this world. Gage looked at his reactions and smirked. " Take him to the dungeons, where he is to be executed tomorrow at noon." He ordered. Alythia looked at him with shock and rage. 

" HOW COULD YOU!?!?!" She roared out at him then ran to her room and locked the door. She wanted nothing more but to be far away from him and be in her lover's arms once again. Gage went back to his throne, smirking to what has happened here. The captain, who was watching the whole thing, stepped up to the thrones. " My lord, I thought you said that I can finish him off. " he said. Gage only looked at him. 

" You served your purpose. Now be gone. " He shooed him away with his hand. Freyon just stood there, his blood boiling in rage. How could he betray him like this? Deny him the satisfaction of ending the wretched dragon's life by his own two hands. He lunged at him, his blade aiming towards Gage's head. He suddenly stopped in mid-air, a few inches away from his face. Gage only looked at him then stretched his hand out. The blade soon released itself from the captain's hands and levitated to Gage's hands. He stepped towards him, looking rather unamused in the least. 

" I gave you power, and this is how you betray me?! " Without another word, he brought the blade down on Freyon's head, slicing it off with ease. The body soon dropped to the floor, blood pouring on the floor. Gage turned around and went back to seat. 

" That's one pest down and one more to take care of. Nothing will stop me from having her as my own forever. The wedding shall take place in two days now. " he said as his guards started to clean the room of the body and blood. Unbeknownst to any of them, Drago and Valkyrie were on the ceiling, overhearing the conversation. 

" That bastard. He killed his own man. " Drago whispered.

" Tell me about it. We have to save him. " she replied.

" Leave that to me. " Drago reassured to her. She nodded and started to make her way to Alythia's room as Drago went to the direction where the guards took Lunaris.
